Comments: I run my compressor dry most of the time. I initially drained the A/C oil out and poured in some of that miracle oil (Pro Long) advertised on TV. (available at PThe compressor is a Sanko rotary compressor. Now allot of Jeepers use the York compressors, more then the Rotary ones, but I wanted the rotary one due to its smaller size and sleeker look, the difference in both of them is the way they get oiled, Yorks have a built in oil area, rotaries rely on the freon to get lubed. ---------------------------------------------- Being there is no freon going through a rotary compressor in an onboard air system, you need to run either an in-line oiler on the intake of it OR squirt some Prolong (Some Space Age Super Lube from PepBoys) into the intake ever 3 or 4 months which is simple to do and install a moisture/oil trap on the output side of the compressor, I have no problems with oil in my air with this setup epboys). I ran the compressor for a while to make sure it was miracalized and blew all the oil out. Now I just squirt a little Pro Long in the intake every 2 or 3 months and get very little, if any, oil in the air hose. This compressor has been running for over a year this way, but I'm prepared to spend another $25 if it seizes up. YMMV ---------------------------------------------- PepBoys 2417 Cortez Rd Bradenton, FL 34207
